Anti bullying circle time

Two of the older children came for a visit to our class and led our anti bullying circle time.
We had to listen carefully to each other as well as playing some fun games like pass the smile. We had to think hard about what bullying is.

We had some very good ideas about what to do if we felt someone was being unkind.

Halloween

The Halloween disco was lots of fun for all. Mrs Ayres hardly recognised the boys and girls. She was very impressed with the fabulous costumes. Take a look at the pictures to see why. We had lots of fun chatting with our friends from our own class and it was a good chance to see our friends from the other classes too.

We really enjoyed the snacks and drinks from the tuck shop.

Our costumes were absolutely super!

Excellent behaviour

Mrs Ayres was very proud of the children in primary 1c when Mrs Wieland came to give out her special certificates for excellent behaviour at the end of term 1. To earn one of these certificates, children must have no red traffic lights and less than 5 green or amber traffic lights throughout the term.

Well done to all of the boys and girls who received a certificate from Mrs Wieland.

Mixing primary colours

We have been learning about mixing colours this term in art. We had to choose two of the primary colours; red, blue or yellow and made our handprints using these. Then when we rubbed our hands together we made our new colour and printed it in the middle. Some people were really good at predicting which colour they would make. We enjoyed this task which felt quite cold and tickly on our hands and like looking at our lovely bright display.

Welcoming a baby

We have been learning about babies as part of our RME programme. We were very lucky recently when Mrs Coyle came to visit us with her beautiful baby boy. Mrs Coyle talked to us about lots of the things that her baby needs. We got to ask lots of questions about the baby. We enjoyed meeting him and think that he is just lovely.
